Holcombe presented a new performance-work-in-progress, "Into the Dark Unknown: the Hope Chest," at the Time Based Arts Festival in Portland, Oregon on September 13, 14 and 15. The work followed in the vein of his last show "Mihael Sagalovesky and the Tragic Torments of Patty Heart Townes" (read more about "Patty Heart Townes" on the press page for the Joe's Pub March 2007 performance here). In celebration of a limited edition live DVD recording of the performance of "Into the Dark Unknown: The Hope Chest," as well as a limited release CD compilation of live recordings from this year, Holcombe and the fabulous ensemble (Ben Landsverk, Kelly Meyer, Steve Kennon, Galen Cohen, and special guests), aka "the Healers," are performing December 18th at the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, OR USA with very special opening guest Chris Garneau on tour from Brooklyn. Some very appealing faerie boys in San Francisco made this very moody and cute art video for Holcombe's song "Literally the End of the World," check it out, we love it.
